Absolutely not. To meet our standard, the liquid must remain exactly as it came out of the cask. We do not use E150 caramel coloring, and we never chill-filter our whiskies. We believe the natural oils and esters—which chill-filtering removes—are essential to the mouthfeel and the “discovery” of the dram.
